Branding Project Building 27

Menco Pacific served as the prime contractor on this project which included the re-model of the Recruiters School building B-27 at MCRD in San Diego, CA. The commencement of the project included abatement of any existing asbestos and lead-based paint. The construction scope of work included the repairing/patching/painting of suspended ceiling tiles and t-bar, all new carpeting throughout, new doors and concomitant hardware, and complete wall patching and custom painting throughout Building 27. This project was completed on time, within budget, and with zero safety-related incidents to the complete satisfaction of the Government.

Gate 14 Relocation & Demo of Pedestrian Bridge

Menco Pacific served as the prime contractor on this project which included the relocation of Gate 14 to Gate 24 area and demolition of an existing pedestrian bridge at Naval Base San Diego. Menco began by removing Gate 14 turnstile and guard booth and relocating it to the desired location, referred to as Gate 24. Additional work required in relocating the bridge included trenching for new phone/electrical lines, PVC conduit, circuits, and the re-installation of the gate card reader, as well as guard booth concrete pad, electrical, and lighting fixtures. As part of this contract, the existing wooden pedestrian bridge was completely demolished and properly disposed of to avoid any hazardous materials entering the creek bed. New bridge signage was installed and miscellaneous landscape and fence repairs were made to complete the project. This project was completed on time, within budget, and with zero safety-related incidents to the complete satisfaction of the Government.

Design/Build PEO SUBS Renovation at Old Town Complex

Menco Pacific is currently serving as the prime contractor on this project which includes repairs and upgrades the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and controls in 5 buildings throughout Naval Base San Diego (NBSD) and Navy Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD) to increase the energy efficiency of each facility. Select HVAC equipment, HVAC sequences, and building level controls will be upgraded in order to reduce energy consumption. Menco Pacific is installing upgrades to the HVAC system in order to meet the requirements for occupant comfort, indoor air quality, acceptable noise levels, energy efficiency reliable operation, and ease of maintenance. This project is slated to be completed on time and within budget.

Install A/C Units in BDOC Spaces Buildings 3292 & 3294

Menco Pacific served as the prime contractor on this project which included the complete replacement and rehabilitation of the HVAC units in the Base Defense Operations Center (BDOC) space in buildings 3292 & 3294 at Naval Base San Diego, CA. Scope involved the disconnection, removal and disposal of six existing outdated A/C units and installation of six (6) new 4-ton capacity A/C units. In addition, Menco electricians installed six (6) new electrical support split systems to each of the units. The project also included new concrete pads for each unit to reduce noise and ensure longevity of the systems. All work was performed by Menco Pacific’s in-house forces. This project was completed on time, within budget, and with zero safety-related incidents to the complete satisfaction of the customer.

Mold Repairs Building 76

Menco Pacific served as the prime contractor on this project which included the complete abatement and removal of all mold and hazardous materials in Building 76 at Naval Base San Diego, CA. Scope of work included removal of all existing ceiling tiles, furniture, cubicles, carpeting, rubber cove base, and other materials. Menco then abated any visible mold on the hardwood ceiling and sealed it with a government-approved anit-fungal agent. New ceiling tiles were installed, as well as new 48 oz. carpet tiles and VCT floor tiles. Menco performed a post-remediation mold air sampling to ensure all mold agents were removed. To finish the project, the furniture and cubicles were replaced in the building for use by its occupants. This project was completed on time, within budget, and with zero safety-related incidents to the complete satisfaction of the government.

Relocate Security to Building 151

Menco Pacific served as the tier 1 subcontractor on this project which required renovation of Building 151 in order to relocate security personnel and equipment from Building 74 to 151 at Naval Base San Diego, CA. Scope of work required phased interior improvements including renovated suspended ceilings, electrical upgrades, lighting, signage, hvac upgrades, new carpet tiles and vinyl cove base, patch & paint walls, paint doors, new windows, relocation of fire alarm, new showers in bathrooms, and construction of new secure RFI and Sipernet rooms.  This project was completed on time, within budget, and with zero safety-related incidents to the complete satisfaction of the Prime Contractor and the Government.
